OCRA Educational Grants

OCRA's Educational & Professional Development Committee's mission is to reach out to the academic and medical products communities to spread the word about Regulatory Affairs and Compliance as a desirable professional career.

Financial Grants are available to assist and facilitate our Members interested in pursuing courses, certificates, and/or degrees in regulatory affairs and compliance.

OCRA Educational Grant Application
The OCRA Educational Grant (OEG) program was established to provide OCRA Members with an opportunity to attend programs and courses relevant to regulatory science in FDA-regulated industries. Interested professionals in the life science industry are welcomed to apply. The educational grants can be applied towards:

  •  Attending OCRA meetings with a limit of three meetings within a 2-year period, only one of which may be an FDA-OCRA Annual Conference. The awarded applicant can reapply after two years from the date of the last OCRA meeting attended by the applicant under this grant. This grant is available for all current OCRA members.
  • Attending regulatory courses (e.g., regulations of medical device, clinical trials, pharmaceuticals, etc.) from accredited academic institutions or educational seminars from organizations other than OCRA (e.g., RAPS, ADVAMED, etc.). The grant will be applicable to registration fees only and will be paid to the institution or organization. Applicants must have 2 years of continuous membership in OCRA prior to applying. The grant will not support other expenses such as educational materials, food, travel, housing, etc. The grant shall not exceed $3000 and must be used within 3 months of the approval of the application. The awarded applicant can apply for a new grant three years after the approval of the previous grant

OCRA Mentoring Program

mentoring logoOCRA's Mentoring Program helps promote the career growth and development of OCRA Members and strengthens the regulatory affairs profession. The Mentoring Program is a process for professional and personal development in which an individual (the Mentee) strives to achieve one or more development goals under the guidance of a more experienced colleague (the Mentor). Mentoring is not intended to help Mentees find new jobs, but it can be helpful in discussions related to changing careers or advancing in current career paths.

The Mentoring Program requires a six-month commitment from its Mentors and Mentees. Applications to become a Mentor or a Mentee are necessary.
