ABOUT OCRA and THIS WEBSITE:

This website provides information concerning the activities of OCRA, the Orange County Regulatory Affairs
Discussion Group. OCRA is a volunteer organization made up of individuals from the Southern California area
that are interested in networking with others involved in regulatory affairs. Our membership includes individuals
that work in pharmaceutical, medical device, biologic and IVD industries.

OCRA's membership is about 500 people from 100 local companies.

OCRA meetings provide an educational forum and a means for the regulatory community to network. OCRA
regularly hosts FDA satellite video downlinks in the Orange County area.

Join us here for updates to group activities, the latest in regulatory and legislative information from across the
nation and around the world, meetings of interest and job openings.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN REGULATORY AFFAIRS OFFERED BY
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (USC)

OCRA wants you to know about new educational opportunities in our area.  One such opportunity is
USC’s Master of Science Regulatory Science program which is beginning at its Orange County
site in January. A master’s degree is a great tool for any professional in this dynamic field!  Please go

THE SAN DIEGO REGULATORY AFFAIRS NETWORK

Presents an educational program: "What you need to know about the IND Process” on February 24, 2003.

OCRA 2003 PRELIMINARY PROGRAMS CALENDAR

A preliminary calendar of programs to be presented by the Orange County Regulatory Affairs Discussion Group (OCRA) for next year has been published on the OCRA Meetings page. This calendar was developed based on the excellent feedback received from the surveys distributed in August. More information on each of these programs will be provided in the coming weeks and months, but this preliminary calendar should hopefully allow you to start planning for these meetings now.

Master of Science in Regulatory Affairs  offered by 
San Diego State University:

This degree program will provide a comprehensive background in regulatory science with the additional training and experience required of regulatory affairs professionals to address federal and state regulatory statutes and laws with emphasis on the Food and Drug Administration. The degree is offered through the collaboration of the College of Sciences and the College of  Business Administration. OCRA CONTRIBUTES TO THE FAMILIES OF FREEDOM Scholarship Fun:

OCRA had made a $500 contribution to the Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund. This fund will help the children and spouses of the victims of the September 11th tragedies realize their educational goals. OCRA believes this is a worthwhile cause and OCRA is proud to be able to make a  contribution during this time of need.

OCRA THE CORPORATION:

OCRA is incorporated in the State of California as a non-profit educational corporation. If you are interested, the corporate Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws are posted on this site for your review and comment. These have been newly revised and approved by the Board of Directors.

Also approved at the February 2000 BOD Meeting is OCRA's Non-Commercialization Policy .  Any comments you may have about either of these documents can be addressed to  one of the members of the Board of Directors.
